Bolean Gardens
Welcome to Bolean Gardens. We are an experimental four acre nursery / florist / wildlife sanctuary / botanic garden in the mountains above Falkland, BC. Established in 1998, the garden has grown to include more than 500 varieties of hardy (zone 4) trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials, and is home to an unbelievable (and ever-increasing) number of plants, insects, amphibians, birds, and mammals.

ABOUT OUR FARM
We offer fresh cut flowers, pastured eggs, hardy nursery stock, and seasonal produce at the farm, May 1st - October 1st.

Garden tours, guided or self-guided, are also available by donation.
Open seven days a week from 10 am until 4 pm.

Nature is full of surprises
We are constantly discovering new (to us) species of plants and animals within the boundaries of our farm. Here, Colette and Winchester have noticed one of Canada's few species of hardy orchid, Corallorhiza striata or Striped Coralroot.
Cut Flowers
This is a new venture for us, and Colette and I are very excited about it. The gardens are mature enough to be able to supply an almost unlimited quantity and variety of perennial flowers and foliage, and this year we're adding more than fifty types of annuals to the mix. We can't wait to show you what Colette can do with some flowers and a few twigs. Available from June 1.
Nursery
We've got some beautiful tree seedlings, select annuals and perennials, and a limited quantity of larger specimens. Plants for beauty, pollinators, erosion and flood control, fire resistance, and wildlife habitat. Now available.

Fresh Produce
Asparagus, raspberries, strawberries, salad greens, tomatoes, peppers, and more will be available as the season progresses. Grown sustainably without pesticides or herbicides in the cool mountain air above Falkland, our produce is worth the wait! Available seasonally, beginning May 15.

Currently specializing in dry-stacked stone walls and pollinator-friendly gardens, Brad has been a journeyman horticulturist since 1995. Consultations, design and construction, renovation and rejuvenation, pruning, and irrigation services are available upon request.
